Checklist Info -
Information for this checklist was collected during an extensive floristic survey conducted over a period of three years. Specimens of all flowering and non-flowering plants were collected. Specimens were identified in consultation with The Herbaria at the Botany Department, North-Eastern Hill University and Botanical Survey of India, North-Eastern Circle, Shillong.
Published works of Deb (1958), Balakrishnan (1981–1983), Chauhan (1983), Das and Deori (1983), Kataki (1983), Rao and Haridasan (1983), Haridasan and Rao (1985–1987), Nayar and Sastry (1990), Kumar (1991), Khan et al. (1997) and Samant et al. (1998) were used to prepare the list of endangered, threatened, rare and endemic plants found in the sacred groves of Jaintia Hills.
