In brief: The Tropical Ecology and Conservation Biology Lab (Department of Zoology, NSS College Manjeri, Kerala) invites applications from Indian nationals for the post of a Junior Research Fellow in a DST (Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India) sponsored project entitled “Assessing the influence of biotic and abiotic factors on life history variation and demography of tropical rainforest birds” for a period of three years.

Qualification: Master’s degree in Zoology/Wildlife Biology/Forestry/Ecology or related discipline with minimum 55% marks. Desirable: UGC-NET qualification and prior experience in ecological research and aptitude for fieldwork in difficult terrains. Candidate with strong aptitude for research will be encouraged for Ph.D. registration.

Emoluments: Rs 16,000 p.m. + HRA for 2 years (JRF) and Rs 18,000 p.m. + HRA for 3rd year (SRF).
