Qualifications:
Essential - Masters Degree in Wildlife Science/Forestry/Zoology/Life Sciences/ Biosciences, with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks from a recognized University.
Desirable - Candidate should have interest and experience on working with herpetofauna.
Description of Work:
Documenting the patterns in body size, species co-occurrence and the relationship between abundance and distribution in herpetofauna in the islands.
Remuneration:
Selected candidate for the position of Junior Research Fellow will be paid a consolidated emoluments of Rs. 12,000/- per month. In case of NET qualified candidates (UGC/CSIR) for Research Fellows, the selected JRF will be paid consolidated emoluments of Rs. 16,000/- per month and in case of NET qualified (UGC/CSIR) candidates with Professional P.G. Degree, he/she will be paid consolidated emoluments of Rs. 18,000/- per month as fellowship.
Selection:
Based on Walk-in-Interview to be held on Monday, 19th March 2012 at the Wildlife Institute of India, Dehra Dun. The registration will begin by 09:00 A.M. onwards. Candidates should bring the duly filled-in applications with attested true copies of testimonials of educational qualifications, research experience, extra curricular activities, date of birth etc., along with copies of mark sheets of all examinations. All original documents should be produced at the time of registration.
