Listen to the second podcast episode with leading moth observation contributor Rachit Singh, as a part of our interview series leading up to the National Moth Week on July 22

We have updated all Amphibian species names and taxonomy on IBP based on the list of Indian frogs as available on Amphibian Species of the World catalogue from the American Museum of Natural History curated by Darrel Frost. We hope to keep the IBP Amphibian names periodically updated in sync with AMNH in future. The full checklist list of the latest Amphibian species names on IBP can be viewed and downloaded from the namelist interface here-,5,9,10&statusToFetch=ACCEPTED,SYNONYM&positionsToFetch=CLEAN

Thanks to Darrel Frost, Gururaja KV and Harikrishnan S for facilitating this.

Rujuta, these are updated lists which bring the current status of taxonomy up to date. It will not help with IDs. Hari  Vineeth Kumar Gururaja KV among others can help with frog IDs.

For identifying frogs, you can also look at the species pages for amphibians here:

We may not have all species illustrated, but most of the more common ones are described here.
