    Description
    One month field collection tour resulted in the collection of more than 500 foliicolous fungi. Of these, 152 collections have been identified, resulted in recording 60 fungal taxa. Of these, one new genus (Andamanomyces), 16 new species (Andamanomyces fragariae, Asterediella anaxagoreae, Asteridiella colocasiae, Asterina eleocarpigena, Asterostomella dhanikariensis, Asterostomella ferrargunjensis, Irenopsis andamanica, Meliola andamanica, Meliola canarifolia, Meliola chukrasiicola, Meliola harrietensis, Meliola myristicacearam, Meliola parishiae, Meliola savarkarii, Meliola ternstromiicola and Schiffnerula chukrasiae) and one new variety (Meliola pithecellobii var.indica) are discovered. Meliola palmicola is reported here for the first time from India. All these taxa are listed but the novel taxa are described and illustrated in detail.

    This comprises an account of the 580 foliicolous fungal collections collected along with the host leaves of 220 host plants belonging to 70 families of flowering plants from Wayanad District resulted in recording 175 fungal species distributed among 29 fungal genera, belonging to black mildews, Meliolales: namely, Amazonia (6), Appendiculella (1), Armatella (6), Asteridiella (12), Irenopsis (7), Meliola (96); Meliolinaceae: Meliolina (1); Asterinales: Asterinaceae: Asterina (47), Asterolibertia (1), Ishwaramyces (1), Meliolaster (1), Prillieuxina (2), Asterostomella (1), Asterostomula (1), Mahanteshamyces (1), Lembosiaceae: Echidnodella (1), Lembosia (2), Schiffnerulaceae: Questieriella (2), Sarcinella (4), Schiffnerula (9); Phyllachoraceae: phyllachora (5); Hyphomycetes: Acrodictys (1), Spiropes (3), Ampullifera (1), Passalora (1), Colemaniella (1), Acremoniula (1); Other Ascomycetes: Leptosphaerulina (1), Rehmidothis (1).

    Description
    This paper gives an account of fifteen black mildew fungi collected from Kodagu in Karnataka and Kollam in Kerala state. Of these, Asterina cassiigena, A. chrysophylligena, A. hemidesmi, A. ushae, A. thevalakkaraensis, A. vitacearum, Asterostomella derridicola, A. vernoniae, Prillieuxina humboltiae, Echinodella mimusopsidis, Mahanteshamyces litseae, Sarcinella bischofiae, S. pogostemonis and S. securinegae are the new species, while Asterina antidesmatis forms a new record to India.

    Four new Meliolaceae (Sordariomycetes: Meliolales) members from Kottayam forests in Kerala State, India

    This paper gives an account of five meliolaceous fungi collected from the Kottayam forest area of Kerala state. Of these, Appendiculella elaeocarpicola, Meliola sterculicola and M. lophopetaligena are the new species, Meliola gouaniae Hansf. var. keralica is the new variety, while, Meliola garugae is reported here for the first time from India. All these taxa are described and illustrated in detail.
