    The Great Eared-Nightjar is distributed in the South Asian region and found in the northeast and Western Ghats of India. I report here the sighting of a Great Eared-Nightjar at Karlapat Wildlife Sanctuary, Odisha, India. Further research and surveys are needed to ascertain its status and distribution, particularly in the Eastern Ghats range in India.
