    Description
    From a survey of the northeastern states of India, seven species belonging to three genera of the subfamily Acridinae were recorded.  In addition to conventional morphological characters, the detailed structure of the male and female genitalia were studied.  All the species are described and illustrated.  A key to the known genera of the subfamily Acridinae is also provided.

    A new species of blind cryptopid centipede of the genus Cryptops Leach belonging to the hortensis group viz. Cryptops (C.) malabarensis is described from the southern Western Ghats, Kerala, India and the family Cryptopidae (Scolopendromorpha) is reported for the first time from the area. Affinities of the new species with a Madagascar species are discussed and a key to separate the Indian species of Cryptops is also provided.

    Description
    The species of Anastatus Motschulsky (Chalcidoidea: Eupelmidae) from the Indian subcontinent are reviewed. A total of 28 species are recognized from the region based on females, including 13 species newly described from India. A key to females of the species is provided and figures illustrating differential features of 15 of the species included. Distribution and host data are provided where known. Anastatus dentatus Narayanan, Subba Rao & Ramachandra Rao, 1960 is newly placed in synonymy with Anastatus ramakrishnai (Mani, 1935).

    Abstract The genus Impatiens L. comprises over 1,000 species worldwide. It is represented by c. 210 species in India and most of them are either endemic to the Himalaya or Western Ghats. We have studied the genus in the Northern and parts of Central Western Ghats. We report here 26 species and 2 varieties including a new species with detailed descriptions, illustrations, distribution, critical note, updated nomenclature and IUCN threat status.
